SIR -- Reading the recent letter concerning the Hurricane and Spitfire, I am reminded of how Lord Beaverbrook's comically entitled "saucepans for Spifires" campaign to raise money for planes got a excellent response from the citizens of Worcester, proving once more that this is truly the Faithful City. Despite the privations of war, the citizens raised enough to buy two of the epic fighter aircraft, which was a excellent contribution considering the city's size.
