SIR – I noticed a number of ‘Save Claines Green Belt’ signs while in the area at the weekend.
I find it hard to believe that anyone would even consider imposing more housing there.
I do not live in that part of Worcester so hopefully I cannot be accused of being a Nimby.
Claines, Bevere and Northwick currently remain a small oasis of relative peace for walking, cycling and running for everyone.
I sincerely hope that local councillors do not dismiss the feelings of local residents, as that could bring the democratic system into serious question.
Sadly, we already have many instances of discriminatory democracy within our country.
Please remember that as taxpayers we should be allowed choice.
If some want to live in a concrete jungle then there are more than enough cities to accommodate that wish.
