SIR – I read with interest the article dated November 16 on the lack of money for safety provisions outside primary schools.
Perhaps if monies were to be spent a little more wisely instead of being just frittered away needlessly, something might be achieved.
I refer to the county council’s decision to put another cycle tract in North End Lane.
We already have one on one side of the road which is very seldom used, so why waste money on another which is only going to cause a hazard to residents trying to access or egress their homes, which is a difficult enough prospect at busy times? Maybe there should be a little thought before we jump in and follow a political whim.
