SIR – It has been said that if the agreement between political leaders at the Copenhagen climate summit is too weak, temperatures across the world may rise by up to 6C.
New Labour has overseen a rise in carbon emissions and is now set to miss its own emissions targets. If the UK doesn’t deliver at home, how can it put pressure on other governments? Without urgent action to curb CO2 emissions the world’s weather patterns could spiral out of control, though it seems the government just isn’t interested.
