SIR – So a parking ticket was issued to a car in a city car park displaying a disabled blue badge.
Quite right too. What happened here was a complete abuse of the blue badge system. If the person is capable of parking in a normal car park and walking to the shops in the same manner as all of us then the blue badge is not required. The abuse of the blue badge is widespread now and, in fact, stops the genuine disabled from getting near their destination by people trying to save a few pence in parking fees.
