SIR – Can you explain why Worcester City Council appear to be unwilling to enforce planning conditions?
Over the years other residents and I have complained to various enforcement officers about the constant disregard of planning conditions placed on the Three Springs Industrial Estate in Vincent Road, Worcester. This industrial estate was established many years after the residential accommodation was in existence, but occupiers of this site appear to have total disregard for residents. They constantly operate outside the permitted opening hours, vehicles are left with engines running and they come and go at all hours of the day and night, including weekends. Recently, members of the Green Party were campaigning in Vincent Road and they promised to find out why Worcester City Council did not enforce planning conditions. We are still waiting for their feedback.
I am sure, as an individual, if I dared to do something that required or broke planning consent I would not be allowed to get away with it. So why has nothing been done?
