SIR – Enough! I am sure that other readers are as bemused as am I by N Taylor’s contributions on the Worcester News letters page of late.
I did not say that today’s growing families require extra housing.
I merely said that during the late Victorian times when my house was built this was a significant factor (ie, as opposed to immigration).
Nor did I say or imply that I wish for “more farmland to be concreted over”. As it happens, I do not.
However, if there is a need for this, I do not take the easy target of immigration as the main cause and there is plenty of informed, expert and well-researched evidence to support this position.
It is a much more complex question than N Taylor would have us believe.
I wonder, has Mr Taylor heard of globalisation – or has he stuck his head in the sand while it passed him by?
He has conspicuously avoided giving a straight answer to a simple question, repeatedly put, but has denied this obvious-to-all fact.
In addition, he seems incapable of responding to perfectly sensible points and, instead, simply ignores them.
