SIR – The production of Sweeney Todd using a real cut throat razor raises, in the name of realism, the question how can the actor grow sufficient stubble for each performance?
All stage productions, from the scenery to the props and the script are fiction and only imitate real life. A blunted razor applied to a clean-shaven chin would have been far easier and safer.
As a scene builder for many years for a local group in Hampshire I wish the Conquest/Falcon Players every success in their productions.
