Sir – I wonder if your readers might help me with a search to find news of members of the Owens family living in the Worcester and Evesham area descended from Joseph Owens, born in Islington in 1891, and Edith Margaret Owens (nee Jones).
Joseph and Edith were living a street away from each other in Worcester by 1910 and were married at St Stephen’s Church in 1912. They had, I think, two children a girl, Anne Irene, possibly known as Rene, and a boy who may have been called Trevor.
Anne Irene sadly died aged 26 in Evesham in 1940 and by then her father Joseph was living in Shrewsbury.
I do not know what became of her brother but think he may have stayed in the Worcester area. I also know that Joseph was the youngest of eight children and there may be descendants of some of his brothers living in the Cardiganshire area. I am looking for stories or photos so if anyone can help I’d be so grateful.
