SIR – There comes a point where, reluctantly, one simply has to accept that it is not possible to hold sensible or even understandable discourse with N Taylor. He writes that he has provided the information requested. He most certainly has not. Again, what kind of site was his house built on? When? Was it immigration at the time which caused his house to be built, or some other reason/s?
Worcester has been steadily expanding for at least 2,000 years, possibly 5,000. Would N Taylor have railed against the Romans, Angles, Saxons and Vikings (from some of whom he is almost certainly descended)?
My house was built on the site of White Ladies Farm more than a century ago. There was virtually no immigration then, but there were large indigenous families – whose members all needed houses when they grew up.
