SIR – May I say a heartfelt thank you to our supporters. Following the success of last year’s show on November 29, Pershore And District Canine Training Society held another companion dog show in order to raise funds for our chosen charities for 2008. These are the Cinnamon Trust, which cares for elderly people and their pets, and Dogs For The Disabled, who train assistance dogs to help disabled people lead a fuller, more independent life.
We were very grateful to have sponsorship from Lidl and Tesco stores in Worcester; Mutters Newsagent and Image Centre, St John’s; Ken and Jen Mason and Daughters of Pershore; Burns Pet Nutrition Ltd of Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire and Trust Pet Products of Warwick.
We are also greatly indebted to Foskett Ltd of Upton Snodsbury for sponsoring the rosettes and to Cobby Dog for their help and generosity.
As ever, our grateful thanks go to our members and friends for their unfailing support and generosity in providing help with the show arrangements and supplying prizes for the raffle and large quantities of varied and delicious food.
We are so pleased to be able to donate £200 to each of the charities and are sure that they will be able to put the money to very good use.
Thank you everyone.
MRS D C SKERM, Hon Secretary, Worcester.
