SIR – Regarding ‘Two hundred families lose homes’ – surely the council should step in and buy these homes up and then rent them back to the families to keep them in their homes.
Surely its got to be better than the story about Beverly Day who lost her home and is now living in a one room bed and breakfast which costs £700 a month, which would more than cover her mortgage.
It doesn’t make sense really to pay more for bed and breakfast than it would have to keep her in her home.
JOHN SHEARON,
Worcester.
