SIR – Regarding the article by James Connell telling us of the disgraceful wait patients have to endure at Worcestershire Royal Hospital, stuck in ambulances before any bed can be found.

This hospital was just a disaster from the start. Its faults run to many pages. It was American-designed and never planned for Worcester and the county’s future needs. I just wonder how it got planning approval.

To have ambulances yet again stacking up while beds are found is appalling.

It happened before. We were promised it would not happen again. The most basic question is why?
