SIR – In reply to your Comment ‘Is hospital too small for the population?’ The answer is yes!

And with the proposed thousands of new homes due to be built in Worcestershire it would be laughable if it wasn’t so important to us.

Readers wrote about the proposed building of the new hospital and said it was too small. But Tony Blair (in his wisdom) and some of his followers decided it was large enough and went ahead and built it.

It was also pointed out that the car park was too small. Then, when the hospital was built it was discovered the internal corridors were also too narrow to allow two beds to pass each other but no one listened – they knew it all or thought they did. Now we are lumbered with a hospital which is too small for our needs.

Apart from that we are also lumbered with the private finance initiative which will cost many more millions.

PETER ALCOCK,

Worcester.
