SIR – I read in the Worcester News an article displayed in the What’s On section about a singer appearing at the Mayflower pub on Sunday, November 23.

Had I not read this I would have missed a truly outstanding artist.

His name was Marc Drew and as I listened to him sing I thought that he should be on TV. His rendition of Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Tom Jones, Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley songs was second to none.

The versatility of this artist was a joy to see and I would most certainly want to see him again. In fact he was so good that – having been to see Joe Longthorne in concert – when I closed my eyes I may well have thought that it was Joe himself and not Marc singing.

Thank you again for showing the advert in your wonderful paper.

MIKI-JAY POWELL, Worcester.
