SIR – Further to Councillor John Tidmarsh’s letter. As a former employee and now a trustee of Worcestershire Lifestyles, I would like to thank Coun Tidmarsh for his support.
I would also like to clarify that Worcestershire Lifestyles, established nearly 20 years ago, works with all disabled adults aged 16 to 65 and this includes people with a visual impairment.
One of our services, the Focus Project, is now at risk as continuation funding has not yet been secured, which will mean the loss of this irreplaceable, unique and valued service to local disabled adults at the end of December.
Our team of skilled staff and volunteers provide disabled adults with one to one personalised support to deal with issues in their lives, whether work, education, housing, transport, health, financial, social or emotional.
Times are hard for everyone but if you are disabled every day it can be hard if you don’t have the right support.
If you would like to know more about Worcestershire Lifestyles contact Tony Whitcher on 01905 756067.
S ABBOTT,
Trustee for Worcestershire Lifestyles.
