SIR – I am a disabled person in my 80s and I object most strongly to the possibility that Bilford Road post office is to close.
I have been using that post office for the last nine to 10 years.
I used to be able to walk to it years ago, but in recent years my walking has decreased so much that I now have to rely on a mobility scooter to get there.
Last year, the majority of the public who use the post office, like myself, signed a petition not to close Bilford Road post office and yet it has been reported that the post master is not unhappy should the post office close.
So why hold a petition to close it? Or is it like last year when the main post office was moved?
I have a letter from the Royal Mail in reply to my objection, which hinted that it had already been decided to move it before the consultation took place.
So will the same happen, that the decision to close Bilford Road is already a foregone conclusion?
N M DUNKLEY,
Worcester.
