SIR – We hear so many negative reports from around the country about household recycling/ collections, the pros and cons of bin bags/wheelie bins, good, bad or mad bin men. May I take this opportunity to say a big, appreciative, thank you to the men and women of our local waste management company – FOCSA. The bin lorry crews that work in Pershore always leave the path clean, take everything they are allowed to (yes it is possible they will leave the bin bags with broken glass poking out).

Only this morning I saw two men sweeping the Pershore pavements before 8am and earlier in the week two men litter-picking both sides of the road between Pershore and Evesham.

We appear to be more fortunate than other towns, long may we continue to get this good service.
