SIR – I regularly walk through Cripplegate Park and don’t think I have ever seen the flowerbeds and lawns looking so beautiful.
A couple of Saturdays ago (August 9), in spite of dreadful weather in the morning, a very successful flower show attended by many people took place.
It must have entailed a great deal of organisation and work. By 9am the following morning everything had been cleared away and there was not one piece of litter to be seen.
A big vote of thanks to all the people involved in planning events in the park and also to those who regularly maintain it. It gives great pleasure to numerous people.
