SIR – What have the Conservatives got against Worcester schools?
Robin Walker asks what Labour has got against Worcester schools. A much better question would be what have Tory MPs got against Worcester schools?
I believe Mr Walker was educated in London at the prestigious St Paul’s School. So his father, the then MP for Worcester, didn’t think highly enough of Worcester’s schools to send him to one.
Additionally Peter Luff, another former Worcester MP, decided not to send his children to any local state schools.
Mike Foster, on the other hand, does send his children to local state schools and over his years as an MP he has fought hard for Worcester schools.
At least he supports our children and teachers through actions and does not merely speak empty words like Robin Walker.
How can Tory MPs have the same passion for education in this city if they send their children elsewhere?
PAUL RICHARDS,
Droitwich.
