SIR – Having read with interest the article concerning the secret tunnel that led from Dodderhill Church to Droitwich town centre I can remember my late father telling me about the existence of a tunnel.
I believe that the tunnel entrance was filled in before the war and any traces of its length would have been destroyed with the development of the railway embankment and the canal.
A tunnel that long would have been a major undertaking in any era so I suspect most of it would have been a pathway concealed by undergrowth.
P HAUGHTY, Droitwich.
