SIR – British Gas have pushed up their price by 35 per cent. They’ve put this down to the high price on the open market.
But surely France, Germany and other common market countries have to compete in the same market place? They seem to keep their prices on an even keel. So, I don’t really understand why the six energy suppliers in Britain are paying more for their gas than our European neighbours.
