SIR – With reference to Tim Myers’ letter on Friday, August 1, may I say this, which I am certain others would agree 100 per cent.
Everyone would soon reap the benefits of a completed ring road so why build another bridge in town? How would that ease the traffic that builds up in St John’s and Tudor Way, which is used as a rat run? The amount of traffic passing through to avoid St John’s is beyond belief.
Twelve wheeled lorries are using this root. Imagine what it will be like when the development of this area begins. Surely someone with some common sense could do something to improve the infrastructure before its too late?
One thing that I wish had never been installed are the speed humps and the raised platform outside my property. Few people slow down and large lorries run over these bumps at high speed several times a week. I have to straighten the pictures on my walls, I’m just waiting for my front porch to collapse. If the road had been left as it was it would have been quieter.
F GRIFFITHS,
Worcester.
