"Last week, I found myself driving through my old stomping ground around Worcester and in particular Blackpole Road.
"It was immensely busy as it was early morning school time with lots of students making their way to school incredibly by foot - yes, they were all walking!
"I couldn’t help noticing how amazingly well-behaved, calm, mature and sensible the students were making their way to school.
"In single, small or larger groups, whether boys or girls, these students were all turned out in immaculate, green blazers with a gold beading adorning their edges, grey bottoms and not a single skewed or undone tie could I spot; they all looked like young, model pupils off to be educated at what must be a very well-healed Worcester educational establishment.
"Given the amount of vehicles and the lack of an old-fashioned lollipop person, I slowed my vehicle at the island adjacent to Lidl’s to allow some of these students to cross the road safely.
"They crossed before me with no silliness and politely raised a hand or nodded a thanks to me, all maturely marching coolly on to school.
"So impressed with these young and bright people was I that I Googled the nearest school.
Tudor Grange Academy, Worcester students, I doff my cap to your public persona; I was very impressed with your presentation, behaviour and politeness!"
