Dear Editor
I wonder if your readers are aware of the 15 Minute Smart Cities that are being proposed in this country?
In a nutshell this will mean that residents of a city will have restricted movement and all the amenities they will ever need will be within a 15 minute commute of their home.
There is already a pilot scheme for this in operation in Oxford.
Smart Cities are being sold to the public as part of the Green Agenda – so at least you will feel that you are saving the planet even if you are having your freedom of movement curtailed.
At the very least there should be consultation between councils and the residents of cities to explain exactly what will be entailed.
No doubt the Global elites and so called celebrities will continue to be chauffeur driven in their gas guzzling SUVs and fly around the world in their private jets to their holiday homes and on “important” business– all the while preaching to you how to live your life.
And before anyone berates me about being a “Climate Change denier” – I am not.
The climate has always changed and always will.
I just don’t see how anyone can believe that carbon dioxide is damaging the environment, it is in-fact natures fertiliser.
Why else is it routinely pumped into greenhouses to make plants grow?
