'To whom it may concern,
'I came home from hospital 29 December after 15 days of the most wonderful care from Redditch Ward 16.
'Both part one, 14 days on the same unit in May 2022 and the second part on the same ward for part two.
'Both complex operations.
'It's a united NHS. Everyone striving for the same goals. To get us seen and taken to the appropriate units to be cared for.
'From the bottom of my heart, I wish to thank all those on the different shifts, from surgeons (and there was a lot of interest in my ops), doctors, ambulance transport, all nurses.

'Not forgetting the domestic staff that kept my room spotless and kitchen staff where meals were tasty and well presented.
'All deserve a bit more in their pockets not for frivolities, but for a decent standard of living.
'Which we all wish was possible to take home. Bless them.

'I'm so grateful to be given at 74 year of age the chance to enhance my almost non-existent mobility.
'While under so much pressure workwise and lack of staff, they get on with the job regardless often going without breaks and refreshments.
'Please support them and give them what they surely deserve.'
