SIR - Tory MP Peter Luff is equally as cynical as any New Labour politician on the issue of immigration when he accuses the British National Party of being a "party that had no fear of being viewed as racist" (Worcester News, April 17).
He immediately undermines his own statement by making false accusations of racism, just as New Labour did when challenged on the issue.
The BNP is the only party which has consistently called for objective public debate on immigration but has been denied the opportunity by the recalcitrant Lib-Lab-Con coalition. After years of mass immigration under both the Tories and New Labour, the public are beginning to see through the glib words of the ruling political parties. Is it racist to oppose unchecked mass immigration? Is it racist to provide houses and jobs for your own people first? Quite simply, no!
