SIR - We often complain about how badly some firms treat their customers, but I would like to name one who bent over backwards to help me.
I had a gift of a small otter pendant on a chain. Unfortunately, my fingers aren't as nimble as they used to be (I'm 76 years old) and I lost the pendant trying to fasten the chain.
I phoned the firm ARORA Design and asked if I could buy a replacement of the otter and a longer chain. They phoned their warehouse and obliged me free of charge and sent the items through the post.
