SIR - You reported in the Worcester News (April 10, page 7) that the parish council plan for Warndon Villages has been "axed due to lack of response".
The council has to accept that they are dealing with a contented community.
The council was set up in the late 1980s to oversee and assist the city and county councils with the building and development of the Warndon Villages - and to that end they have been very successful.
We have a thriving, well managed community centre, excellent landscaping maintenance and the roundabouts are now looking wonderful.
Surely the time has come for them to congratulate themselves on a job well done, pack up and shut up shop? I realise that the parish council gets involved in many matters but at the end of the day they have a role to review and comment on planning issues etc, but very little real authority.
I am very interested to hear what other residents think about this proposal.
