SIR - I have noted a number of letters commenting on the Worcester News article about the reduced parking costs for council staff.
As I remember from your article, the parking perk included Worcester Crown Court and this revived a thought I had while visiting Auch, in Gascony, last year.
The people of Auch have a beautiful city courthouse, but have chosen to add to its beauty by laying lawns and introducing colourful planting in its grounds.
We have a beautiful crown court building with an imposing statue of Queen Victoria but both adorned by tarmac and cars. As council staff find their perk less attractive and use the park anf ride is it time to enhance the area and introduce a garden that would provide some much needed greenery in this part of our city?
PETER AGER, Worcester.
