SIR - Napoleon Ryder took a little time to play the race card in his preposterous response to my call for more democracy in Britain.

I only wish I could say it was worth waiting for!

Dr Ryder, put down your copy of The Guardian and try to absorb this painful truth.

It's more likely that we shall see a Fourth Reich, with matching rivers of blood, if we don't invigorate our democracy and allow a proper rational debate about important issues like the EU, and our crazy immigration "policy", than if we do!

Decent people are sick of living in a virtual dictatorship and having their homes jobs and welfare system handed out to the whole world by idiots who call us racists if we dare to object in any way.

No other nation on earth behaves as generously and grandiosely as ours and it's quite unsustainable in the future. We simply can't afford to go on like this!
