SIR - Your editorial asking for a balanced debate about our future in the EU raises a very interesting question. Why is the pro- EU lobby so quiet?
We have local members of the European Parliament but I doubt if more than a handful of local people could name them or have the slightest idea what they have done for Worcester.
Go anywhere else in the EU and British public money is being thrown at any number of projects in order to keep voters in those countries feeling positive about the EU. There are little blue plaques everywhere and new motorways and hospitals in countries that were our poor relations just a few years ago.
But not any more!
So, yes, let's have some balance in this eerily one- sided discussion.
Let those mysterious MEPs give your journalists a full and fair account of what Worcester has received from the EU so the people of Worcester can learn the real reason we only hear one side of the debate!
JIM EVANS, Worcester.
