SIR - In response to your editorial on January 31, I would like to advise you of the following information.
During the last six months or more I have been observing the events in the House of Commons and I noticed on one occasion that several MPs from the three main political parties presented to the House petitions from their own constituencies regarding points that affected them.
They were accepted for scrutiny by the various departments whether or not the petitions had been signed by 100s or 1000s of people.
So, why can't the West Midland Ambulance NHS Trust accept not only the thousands signing your petition, but also the many thousands that signed the petition in Shropshire?
N M DUNKLEY, Worcester.
