SIR - I was driving through Wyld's Lane recently when I was nearly hit by an oncoming car. It just missed me by a few centimetres.
Then, when I reached the corner of Wyld's Lane, near Saw Mill Close, I was nearly hit again by a oncoming lorry which then got stuck.
It only managed to get past after it broke a stationary car's wing mirror and nearly ran someone over on the footpath. I have got to say, Wyld's Lane is the most unsafe road in Worcester.
It's just waiting for someone to have an accident and, once the accident happens, no emergency vehicle will be able to get to it as it will be blocked by cars.
I can imagine if there was a fire, the fire engine will not be able to reach it in time because it would either get stuck because of an oncoming car/lorry or it would crash into oncoming cars around the corner, meaning people could lose their life.
I think it is about time the road was made one-way, especially because of the amount of cars that now use it.
Let's hope the council takes action before someone is killed.
JAMES JACKSON, Worcester.
