SIR - Regarding an article in the Worcester News about Frank Gunnell who lived up a tree by the side of the river Teme.
My father was Frank's cousin and took me fishing when I was aged seven or eight in Frank's garden.
I have many happy memories of meeting him.
My father told me that Frank, even as a child, would sleep outdoors at every possible chance that he could. My grandmother, who I never knew, was Frank's aunt.
Apart from that, I don't really know any of the Gunnells that live in Worcester, but I can tell you that Honky Fletcher, who had the chippie in Lowesmoor, and Horace Fletcher, who was landlord of the King's Head in Sidbury, were cousins of Frank's.
MALCOLM FLETCHER, Malvern.
