SIR - I was very honoured to have been asked to write this year's pantomime for Kays Theatre Group, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and upon watching the show I have one word to say, but three times - wow! wow! wow!
I cannot begin to say how proud I was of the entire company, under the brilliant direction of Ann Mayor. The warmth and enthusiasm that spilled over into the audience was infectious. It was indeed better than many a professional pantomime that I have seen, and that includes ones that I have been in.
I have a great affection for Worcester, having written and performed in several of the pantomimes shortly after the Swan Theatre reopened, and was gladdened to see a full house and to be remembered affectionately by many of the audience members.
Sadly, I will not be writing the next one, but we are already in discussion for the year after that. I am extremely lucky to be associated with Kays. Oh, yes I am!
PAUL TATE.
London.
