SIR - I was fortunate to be invited to the 20th birthday celebration at Pershore Day Centre.
I have to say a big thank you to the friends and staff for putting on a great do.
You couldn't fail to be impressed by the warmth of the welcome, and it was lovely to see so many people there who came along to support it.
Although the centre faces an uncertain future, the staff certainly didn't let their worries show.
I read your letter in the Worcester News, Mr Bradley, and I really hope you received many letters of support.
After seeing those young men so obviously happy and relaxed, and so very clearly somewhere they love to be, I can understand why the parents are fighting so hard to keep the centre open.
I wish everyone involved in the battle of Pershore, because I am sure that's what it must be for you all, every success, and don't give up. I for one am now a supporter and hopefully there will be many more.
So, if you have not yet written to Mr Bradley, please take a few minutes to do so, I am sure it will be much appreciated.
CHRISTINE EVANS, Worcester.
