SIR - So, Peter Burgess tells me to stop squawking about the rubbish. He says there's no rubbish.
I would suggest he looks at John Phillpott's column which regularly berates the state of our city streets - he will probably change his mind. If you went into a bakery and paid for a loaf of bread and were only given half a loaf, would you not complain?
Well, it's the same with the bins. We've been robbed of a weekly collection, so in theory the council tax should have gone down. Instead it went up. Now, as for George Cowley's comment about me sniping from my armchair, George has the wrong end of the stick about me not supporting the law. My point was excessive pay claims create inflation and when inflation gets out of control no one wins.
JOHN SHEARON, Worcester.
