SIR - I write with reference to Nigel Crisp's letter (Worcester News, January 17), about the dirty toilets near the bus station. I have never used these, but the toilets in Angel Place are an excellent advertisement for Worcester.
The outside is not much to look at, but inside they are spotless. Also the ladies (I cannot comment on the gentleman's), has an attendant - going back to the good old days, when you paid a penny and got your money's worth. She is a godsend, even placing, a vase of beautiful flowers on the hand basins.
What a difference to the steel boxes on the car park off St Swithin's Street. I eventually found one that would accept my money and let me in.
Once inside the all metal, very hygienic box, I knew what it must feel like to be in prison. Even more alarming was a large notice, telling you what to do if you could not get out. I would recommend Angel Place as a standard for all public toilets.
JANET RAUSCH, Malvern.
