SIR - Ms Teresa French, of Worcestershire Primary Care Trust, writes of more than 500 dedicated community and district nurses working across Worcestershire (January 14). For the past 28 years, I have had a series of excellent CPNs (community psychiatric nurses) - they have all been real pals; male and female. Following my recent cancer operation I had about six visits from Heather, a lovely, very efficient district nurse.
These unsung heroes are the salt of the earth. I'd be lost without their dedicated support.
GEORGE COWLEY, Worcester.
