SIR - It is six months ago that Upton-upon-Severn was devastated by the floods.
Since that date, as far as I can gather, no attempt has been made to clear ditches, drains and culverts to alleviate the flooding.
I hope the local council is not relying on the temporary flood barriers (which are stored at Kidderminster) while there is ample room in the Hanley Road car park.
Is the council relying on the service of King Canute to hold back the waters?
It may be, of course, that the members of the council have not been victims of the floods.
R W RUDD, Upton-upon-Severn.
