SIR - I would just like to reiterate the comments of Joyce Rose (Worcester News, January 2).
Stanley Parr of Pershore has got it spot on in his letter (December 22).
If there is anyone out there in doubt, let them explain why Tony Blair/George Brown have signed treaties giving the EU complete control over the following: * British Laws of Justice, (article 1 to 6) * British Financial Affairs, (article 1 to 14) * British Tax Raising Powers, ( article 1 to 14) * British Petrochemical Industries, (article 1 to 14) * British Armed Forces, (article 1 to 15) This is only what has been given before 2006.
God alone knows what the EU controls now in 2008 (that's if there is anything left to hand over).
There have been quite a few treaties signed since 2006. The EU has abolished the powers of British MEPs in 43 areas.
It has also extended the powers of other MEPs in 36 areas. Why must we be controlled like this? Why can't we just trade with a Europe of different countries?
Why are we, the British taxpayer, giving billions of pounds to an organisation, that has proved that it is crooked and underhanded?
JACK KINSMAN, Grimsby.
