SIR - It was interesting to read Mr Parr's letter (September 25) regarding global warming.
Mr Parr seemed to be suggesting that there is little point in reducing our carbon emissions when China is commissioning two coal-fired power stations a week.
Why can't Mr Parr (and all the others who have written in to the Worcester News making the same statement) make the link between our incessant consumption of TVs, iPods, mobile phones, clothes, cosmetics, medicines, toys etc made in China, and their global emissions?
If we didn't think we needed to buy it, China wouldn't need to make it!
We are all responsible for carbon emissions.
HELEN FORD, Worcester
