SIR - Firstly I was amazed to see Jenna Hewlett's hairstyle merited front page coverage (Worcester News, September 19).
Both Jenna and her mother knew the rules of the school and they clearly chose to flout them.
There are plenty of hairstyles she can choose from; I really do not understand why the pair of them are making such a fuss.
School is a place where you go to learn, so Jenna and her mother need to sort out her hair and get back to education.
Well done to Christopher Whitehead School for standing its ground; maybe if more schools adopted a similar approach we would not have so many of the problems we have with some of the young people in this country today!
