SIR - John Phillpott writes of bombs on Worcester (Seven Days, June 16).
What about the one that was dropped at Blackpole near the Cadburys factory early in the Second World War?
Within five minutes of this incident I was beside one of the craters near to the railway line at Hindlip Lane and I picked up a small piece of this bomb which had a letter E stamped on it, perhaps standing for Essen?
I quickly dropped it as it was very hot, but I still have it.
GEORGE BURTON, Malvern Link.
