SIR - Geraint Bevan, from Glasgow, replied concerning my letter about ID cards (Letters, June 12) but I can't really get my head round his way of thinking.
He says teenagers would avoid going to family planning for fear of being put on a sexual disease register and this would mean more single mothers contributing to the housing shortage.
I really can't see that having an ID card would contribute to any of this nonsense.
JOHN SHEARON, Worcester.
