SIR - Your cricket correspondent Tom Guest reported what a difference a toss of a coin makes (Worcester News, June 7) when, in the Worcestershire v Surrey game, skipper Vikram Solanki called correctly.
This is not true; the call is made by the visiting captain.
The Worcestershire v Warwickshire report (Worcester News, June 4), refers to the Worcestershire supporters as doom mongers. These supporters pay their money and have a right to voice an opinion.
It appears that Worcestershire underestimated the strength of division one, the club have a lack bowlers of who can step up into the 1st XI.
I am sure I speak on behalf of supporters who hope the club manage to maintain division one status, let's hope it's the great escape in line with Worcester Warriors.
