SIR - You recently covered our official flag raising ceremony on behalf of the Consortium of Cripplegate Bowlers, who play at Cripplegate Park Bowling Green. However, I would like to the put the record straight. The Brotherhood Bowling Club, which received the headlines, does help to maintain the bowling greens but other members help also. They help to maintain the greens as well as with hedge-cutting, gardening, looking after the pavilion from 11am until dusk each day and generally making sure everything is running smoothly. We even have to do our own cleaning, where we are kindly assisted by volunteers.
I must also correct the term used for Brotherhood fly their flag'. Brotherhood Bowling Club belongs to the consortium along with a further six bowling clubs which use Cripplegate Bowling greens.
