SIR - I was very disturbed watching Trevor McDonald's report recently on security at Britain's airports.
I'm pleased all personnel shown on that report have now been dismissed. They should not be employed in security again.
Get some reliable and responsible personnel to replace them. It makes everyone who watched that report terrified for the future of Britain.
My suggestion to the Government is that British troops who have sworn and served this country, including Ghurkas, have a chance on discharge from duty to continue to be on duty at our airports.
There are our heroes, the ones we can trust.
Reward them with a good job, security, a house and make sure they are looked after. Don't employ those people here for a free ride.
JEAN BANKS, Warndon, Worcester.
