SIR - What an absolute pleasure to turn the page (Worcester News, June 15) and see the short article on Tony Hilton and his degree success.
I must admit, it was the lovely delphiniums and lupins that immediately attracted my eye. However, to return to the article content, congratulations are due and well deserved.
I say this as a 71-year-old student attending a degree course at University of Worcester, so I certainly realise how difficult yet rewarding a degree course is.
How lucky we are to have the opportunities to expand our education following retirement from the work place.
To quote an old adage, Education is wasted on the young'. Old workers never fade - they improve their education.
